Google search technique ( Search Like Professional)

1. Site colon search

Narrow your search within the website you known

Syntax: Site:your website

Example: site:www.amazon.com

Note: no space should be before and after the colon

2.Exclude Words from Your Search

Put "-" in front of a word you want to leave out

Syntax: -Your Text

Example: jaguar -car

Note : No space should be after the word dash (space can be before dash)

3.Exact Match Search

Enter your word within double quote you want to search

Syntax: “Your text here”

Example: “in the word”

4.Wildcards Search

Put a * in your word or phrase where you want to leave a placeholder

Syntax: word “unknown word (* should be used)”Word

Example: "largest * in the world"

5.Related Site Search

Put "related:" in front of a web address you already know

Syntax:  related:your website

Example: related:www.amazon.in

Note: No space should be after colon

6.Document or file search

Search only files in google

Your file name filetype:ppt

Example: introduction dinakaran filetype:pdf

Note: No space should be between filetype

7.Geo Location Search

Step 1: Go to "https://www.google.co.in/advanced_search"

Step 2: Enter your keyword under "all these words"

Step 3: Select region of your desired using drop down menu

Step 4: Select "Advanced Search"
